Media Technology for Swedish Game Developers

About Me/Contact

As stated in my user profile my name is Fredric Lundgren and I’m a student enrolled at the educational programme Project Management within publishing (Link leads to swedish page) at Malmoe University. The title is somewhat misleading as the programme offers education value within publishing in several aspects as well as advertising, project management, economy and much more.

I have nurtured an interest in the games industry as a business for quite a while now, even though I can’t claim to be a hardcore gamer exactly – my interest lies within new media outlets and the evolution of a business which is rapidly changing at a frightening pace. Thus the interest in gearing my thesis towards game developing was born, and I think I’ve managed to find a research niche not yet exploited and which may yield some very interesting results ere too long. My long-term mission is to offer my opinions, on how game developers and to a large extent publishers, can secure a technical advantage within the field of media technology, improve the quality of their marketing and lower the costs of doing so. Preferably, I would like to pursue a career within games marketing in the future, but for lack of better offers I’m sufficient with running my own business (an ad agency) for now.

I’m always interested in expanding my field of research and I’ve read many interesting reports about games, advertising and related subjects over the years. I’d be glad to accept any advice, suggestions or comments at fredric.lundgren (over at) gmail.com. Please feel free to contact me should you like to know more about my research as well.
